Richard Winchester is a founder and currently serves as Executive Vice President of Land for ATX Energy Partners, LLC, with over 27 years of experience in various land and business development roles. Prior to joining ATX Energy Partners, Richard spent over 12 years at Hilcorp Energy Company in roles of increasing responsibility, including Land Manager of New Ventures responsible for managing Hilcorp’s lease acquisition activities in new and emerging plays, assembling significant acreage positions in the Utica/Point Pleasant trend in eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania, and in the Niobrara trend in the DJ Basin, and as Land Manager of Texas and Northeast US with land staff management responsibilities supporting four asset teams with active drilling and rework programs. Most recently Richard served as Sr. Business Development Manager, overseeing land due diligence for Hilcorp’s A&D activities, including Hilcorp’s recent acquisition of ConocoPhillips’ San Juan Basin assets. Prior to Hilcorp, Richard’s prior experience came through Devon Energy and Conoco, where he provided land and commercial expertise for exploration and asset teams in south Texas, the Texas Gulf Coast, and the Permian Basin of west Texas and southeast New Mexico.
Richard earned his bachelor's degree in Petroleum Land Management and MBA from the University of Oklahoma.
