Executive Vice President - Exploration
Ed Parma has over 34 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas business. Ed is a founder and currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Exploration for ATX Energy Partners, LLC. Most recently, Ed served as the VP of the Delaware Basin for Brigham Resources, LLC. During his tenure with Brigham Resources, Ed helped lead the effort to accumulate a land position of approximately 80,000 acres in an underexplored portion of the Southern Delaware Basin. Ed’s role of geologic mapping and interpretation was pivotal in accumulating the acreage, delineating multiple objectives and ultimately in the successful monetization of the asset.
Ed began his career in 1983 as a Geological Engineer for Tenneco Oil Company. In 1988, Ed and three of his co-workers relocated to Midland, Texas where they started a small independent oil company. Ed was responsible for prospect generation that led to the discovery and development of significant oil and gas reserves in the Permian Basin. After a successful monetization of the company in 2000, Ed and his partners restarted the company where Ed continued his role until joining Brigham Resources in 2013.
Ed graduated in 1983 with a bachelor's in Geology from Texas A&M University.
